Trained at UNATC Bucharest and FAMU Prague. Directing stories that sit between fiction and documentary.
Every subject holds a cinematic truth. Mine started in Bucharest and kept going in Prague.
A documentary tracing a forgotten Romanian director's career through the eyes of a young filmmaker discovering his story.
I'm a Romanian director, trained at UNATC 'I.L. Caragiale' in Bucharest and FAMU in Prague. My work moves between fiction and documentary: from 'The Fifth Step' a short drama nominated for Best International Short Film at BFI Future Film Festival 2025, to 'Trapped in His Own Movie' a documentary that went on to collect 11 awards and selections including Cannes.
In 2025 I took part in the Linz Talent Academy. I now split my time between personal film projects and directing commercial work for brands who want that same narrative sensibility applied to their story.

Fifteen and counting, across Cannes, BFI, Tbilisi and beyond.
